In a large village, there were many people who wanted to see Jesus. They wanted to see him, talk to him and ask him for help. Jesus walked through the crowd, and everyone crowded around him. There was a lot of laughter and talking, and it was almost magical to be with him.
There was also a woman in the crowd. The woman was very sad because she had been ill for a long time. She had tried everything to get well, but nothing had helped. She was tired and hopeless, but then she heard about Jesus. She thought, “If I just touch the edge of his coat, I’ll get well!”
The woman crept quietly through the crowd. There were so many people, but she made herself very small and came closer. At last she was close enough. She stretched out her hand and touched the mantle of Jesus. At that moment, she felt strong and healthy! Her illness was gone! The woman was overjoyed and just wanted to cheer.
Suddenly, Jesus stopped. He turned around and asked, “Who touched me?” The disciples looked surprised. “Jesus,” they said, “there are so many people around you! They all push and push.”
But Jesus felt that someone had touched him with great hope and faith. The woman knew that Jesus was talking about her. Trembling but brave, she came to him and said, “It was me. I touched your coat and got well!”
Jesus smiled lovingly at the woman. His heart was full of joy over their faith and hope. “Your faith has made you well,” Jesus said gently. “Go in peace and live without worries.”
The woman went home happily. She knew that Jesus had blessed her because she had believed in Him.

Bible passage
The story of Jesus blessing a woman who touches Him is found in Mark 5:25-34:
“And there was a woman who had had the flow of blood for twelve years 26 and had suffered much from many doctors and had spent all her property on it without it helping her; rather, it had gotten worse with her. 27 She heard of Jesus, and came up from behind in the crowd and touched his garment; 28 For she said, “If I only touch his garment, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the plague. 30 At the same time, Jesus saw in himself that power had gone out from him, and he turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garment?” 31 And his disciples said to him, “You see that the people are pressing you, and do you say, ‘Who touched me?’ 32 And he looked around for the one who had done this. 33 But the woman was afraid and trembled, because she knew what had happened to her; and she came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace and be well from your plague!”
