Once upon a time there was a man named Enoch. Enoch lived a very, very long time ago. He was a very special man because he loved God with all his heart. Enoch wanted to do everything right and lived as God pleased.
God was very pleased that Enoch liked him so much. Every day Enoch went for a walk with God. Of course, not in the way we do it on Earth. Enoch talked a lot with God, and they were always together in their hearts. Enoch lived like this for many, many years, and he also had children whom he loved.
One day, God decided that he wanted to take Enoch to himself. Enoch just walked with God without dying. No one saw him on earth after that. God had taken him to Himself because He loved him so much.
Enoch’s story shows us that we can live with God if we trust and love Him. And when we do that, God is very happy about it.
Message of history
God wants us to open our hearts to Him and trust Him. Then we can walk with him like Enoch.

Genesis 5:21-24 (Schlachter 2000):
“And Enoch lived 65 years and begat Methuselah. And Enoch, after begat Methuselah, walked with God for 300 years, begat sons and daughters. And all the days of Enoch were 365 years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was no longer there, for God had taken him away.”
